A few years ago Hot Wheels Elite began producing models of vehicles featured in movies such as the 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am from Knight Rider, Back to the Future’s De Lorean, the Cadillac from Ghostbuster’s II, the Batmobile, and more. Rather curiously, they brought a replica of the TV show’s Trans Am (although not one used in filming) to their stand this year. The Hot Wheels booth also had a number of new versions of already existing models (De Lorean in 1:18), a number of new models of the Batmobile (from Batman Forever and The Dark Knight, both 1:18), the A-Team’s GMC Van (available last year in 1:18), the VW Herbie, and more. They also had a few other less conventional models in 1:50 scale such as the Flinstones car with Fred and Barney figurines included or the Mystery Machine van with Scooby-Doo and Shaggy figurines also included.

 

When focusing on Hot Wheels’ Ferrari models, we found that this year they presented many new versions (many of them still in prototype phase) of the already existing Ferrari Italia 458 like the China Limited Edition or the GT2. They also had a model of the Ferrari 599XX Evo, whose predecessor (the 599XX) came out last year.

Among the new miniatures we were able to see the F12 Berlinetta which came in both 1:18 and 1:43 in red, yellow, and blue.

We also saw the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 (yellow) and the Aventador (orange), both in 1:43.

 

Finally, the unveiling of a number of models in 1:24 has been announced for this year’s catalogue. The new arrivals are scheduled to include the 458 (in black and red) and the F12Berlinetta (also in balck and red) so we will be able to see how this manufacturer fairs in this scale.

Hot Wheels Elite inició hace años una serie de modelos de vehículos de películas, por ejemplo el Pontiac Firebird Trans Am de 1989 del Coche fantástico (Knight Rider en su versión original), el De Lorean de regreso al futuro, el cadillac de Ghostbusters II, el Batmobile y otros. Este año, en el que curiosamente traía al stand un Trans Am, replica del de la seria televisiva (aunque, según nos confesaron, no uno de los modelos originales utilizados en la grabación de los programas) nos presentó, además de nuevas versiones de los ya existentes (como el De Lorean en escala 1:18), varios modelos novedosos de Batmobile (el aparecido en Batman Forever en 1:18, el aparecido en el Caballero oscuro en 1:18), la furgoneta GMC del equipo A(disponible el año pasado en escala 1:18), el VW Beetle de Herbie, y otra serie de modelos “menos convencionales” en escala 1:50 como el coche de los picapriedra (The Flintstones) con las figuras de Pedro Picapiedra y Pablo Mármol incluidas o la furgoneta de Scooby-doo con las figuras de Scooby-doo y su perro Shaggy también incluidas.

Si nos centramos en sus reproducciones de Ferrari este año presentó algunas versiones nuevas de modelos ya existentes (varias de ellas todavía en fase de prototipo) del Ferrari 458 Italia como la China Limited Edition o la GT2; o del Ferrari 599XX Evo (el 599XX apareció el año pasado).

Entre las novedades pudimos también ver el F12Berlinetta en 1:18 en sus 3 colores (rojo, amarillo y azul), en escala 1:43 se anuncia también en estos 3 mismos colores.

En la feria pudimos ver también en 1:43 los Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 (en color amarillo) y el Aventador (en color naranja).

Por cierto y para terminar, en catálogo está anunciada la aparición este año de modelos en la escala 1:24, en concreto, el 458 Italia (en rojo y negro) y el F12Berlinetta (también en rojo y negro), con lo que veremos si “desembarca” o no definitivamente este fabricante en esta escala.
