As many already know, the brands Schuco (specializing in German brands like Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Claas, Krupp, etc) and Solido (specializing in French brands like Citröen, Renault, etc) belong to the Simba Dickie Group along with Tamiya and Majorette.
Our visit to the Simba Dickie Group stand allowed us to see some older Schuco models that we love such the 2012 Volkswagen New Beetle in 1/43. We were able to see this edition at last year’s fair, however, we had to be put on a waiting list to get one of these pieces due to production delays in China. We also saw the 2012 New Beetle Cabriolet, which we imagine will be produced throughout the year.

They had a number of other curious pieces such at the multicolor VW escarabajo (Käfer), and a truck version whose back had been replaced by a flat load platform which we dare say was absolutely unprecedented (both in 1/43).

From Schuco 1/43 we also saw Audi RS 3 in multiple colors, though best in red, and the Porsche 924 with wide racing tires.

In 1/18 we saw the well known Citröen 2CV from Solido, that with this manufacturer achieves a high degree of realism.
